Job Description
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for all aspects of the line development
from concept to final the products
• Responsibilities include market research, presentation
boards, tech pack, communicating with internal /external
contacts, updating reports, etc.
• Work closely with design director to create layouts, detailed
specifications, concept and boards for each season.
• Create tech packs and line sheets for various meetings and
development
• Monitor sample development i.e) trim, fabric and proto samples
• Contribute to seasonal trends, themes, colors and styling of
the line
• Assisting in developing new fabrics and trims that are
current and aesthetically appropriate for the brand, while
adhering to production and costing requirements
• Maintain and updating sample reference chart, fabric
libraries i.e.) washes
• Responsible for strike off, lab dip, fabrics approvals
• Able to adhere to corporate design T/A calendar
• Attending weekly fit sessions
• Work with technical design team to ensure that fit and design
comments is implemented for showroom and production samples
• Implements all changes during the development and production
process of the line
• Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• 3+ years Menswear design experience a must
• A.S or B.A degree from any of the art and apparel design
college; prefer major in Menswear
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of menswear garment construction
• Must be creative, detail driven and extremely organized
• Proficient in the following programs:
o Word,
o Excel
o Photoshop
o Illustrator
