Job Description
Bluefly.com, a leading online merchant offering top designer and name brand apparel and accessories at significant discounts, is seeking a driven In House Stylist to join their team. This position will report to the Creative Director and Marketing Director.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with a fashion background who is looking to grow in a fast paced environment and work with models in weekly photo shoots.
The in house stylist will be responsible for supporting the efforts of the Design team throughout the photo shoots. He/she will be the on-set expert of how an outfit should fit, be styled and accessorized. Responsibilities include:
1. Before the shoot
1. With CEO, Fashion Director and Online Retail to:
i. Establish a “bluefly look”
ii. Contribute to the selection of products and accessories for photo shoots
iii. Make sure each outfit to be photographed has a point of view consistent with the bluefly look
2. With Creative Director and Photographer
i. Research concepts for future stories with Creative Director and Photographer.
2. At the shoot
1. Confirm that the outfits look good on the model
i. Make adjustments as necessary
2. Responsible for prep and fitting of all
i. steaming, organization, pinning, etc
3. Assist the photographer and creative director
Other skills:
Be highly-organized, efficient and focused, ability to work quickly under tight deadlines and with last-minute changes. Capable of juggling multiple projects at once. Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
