Position Overview
The Production Manager manages the production of all printed Sur La Table - branded materials (i.e., marketing collateral, National Sales products, cash equivalents, direct mail, packaging, trade show exhibits, training materials, recruitment materials, etc.) and researches new methods of displaying and merchandising Sur La Table's current and new products. This position requires an experienced Production Manager who will be based at our headquarters in Seattle.
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Advanced knowledge of print technologies, printing processes, color on press and substrates.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge is required.
High attention to detail, extremely well organized, and a "stickler" for procedural details.
Experienced and comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced production environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects, groups, and competing priorities with minimal supervision, as well as to clearly communicate priorities and trade-offs.
Excellent business communication skills: diplomatic, professional, resourceful, patient, and friendly, as well as the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
Strong adaptability, decision-making, and problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of branding and design.
Sophisticated reading and writing skills that permit confident proofreading, drafting of memos, written communication with vendors, etc.
Advanced knowledge of leading industry graphic applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Quark, Illustrator) a plus.
Job Requirements (including but not limited to)
Three to five years experience as a print production manager with production/prepress work.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; advanced MS Excel knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; Brand Management a plus.
