Account Supervisor (Media Relations)
BNC New York is currently looking for an Account Supervisor/Senior Media Relations Specialist to be the overall leader and client contact on a major international consumer lifestyle account, as well as provide support to other brands. The ideal candidate has existing media contacts, has strong strategic experience is creative, highly organized and has a proven track record of effective communication with high profile clients and internal staff.
The Account Supervisor will be responsible foroverseeing all aspects of this account and supporting other brands, to include the following:
Maintain regular client contact and prospect information for potential new business with existing clients
* Develop program recommendations and plans for clients
* Provide client counsel on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans
* Manage client expectations by communicating status on projects
* Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
* Direct client editorial calendar programs
* Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
* Persuasively pitch media and make pitch recommendations
* Account for quality control and final review of all letters, memos, meeting reports, and client materials
* Instruct staff in the areas of writing and editing as necessary
* Contribute to work plan of junior team members
* Training and development of staff
Job Requirements
* 5+ years experience in Public Relations
* Excellent oral and written business communication skills
* Proven strategic planning skills
* Exceptional judgment when working with clients, team members, and vendors
* Experience in managing multiple projects, while consistently meet deadlines and maintaining quality
