Tommy Bahama, the purveyor of island lifestyles, is looking for a qualified Assistant Merchandiser to join our team. MISSION Set up and maintain data entry of all style and costing information in Blue Cherry. Create and update files of seasonal buy forms, costing sheet, and contract confirmations. Assist Production Manager with compiling and communicating production information and issuing PO's. Assist GMM with seasonal sales analysis and working with Agents on costing seasonal line and recommending wholesale and retail pricing that meets our gross margin requirments. Tracks and issues all sample PO's and resolves any seasonal sampling issues. Communicates with wholesale sales and retail on any updates and changes to the seasonal assortment. KEY RESULTS AREAS • Set up and maintain the style master. • Input and maintain buys in computer system as needed. • Monitor and recap seasonal sales. • Review contract information from Agents for accuracy of information. • Set-up and maintain cost sheets in the computer system. • Issue UPC information to Agents. • Issue Sample Fabric PO’s to vendors and maintain log for Finance. • Assist Production Manager with special projects as needed. • Assist GMM with PVS report recap and seasonal sales analysis. • Set up and update seasonal cost sheets and buy plans. • Review and resolve any sales order discrepancies with Customer Service. • Review and report on status of oversold and substitution sales to GMM. • Create and maintain Sample Garment PO tracking report. • Help maintain bulk production garment testing files and overview chart. • Interact with Customer Service, and Data Entry for any outstanding in house customer orders, and un-sized bulk orders. • Communicate style status information to Sales, Retail, Allocations, Customer Service, and Design through Drop, Oversold, Reinstatement, and Carryover Memos as approved by GMM. Publish unsold inventory information as directed by GMM. EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND EDUCATION • High School Diploma required, some college preferred • 2-3 years of Merchandising or Customer Service background helpful • Knowledge of Blue Cherry system a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Merchandising helpful • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Good organizational skills and attention to detail • Good math skills Strong computer skills
