Position Overview
Position of highest authority in the store. Responsible for all employee development, operational, and financial store functions. Accountable for fully communicating all aspects of store and corporate policies and procedures. Overall duties entail 70% administrative and 30% selling and maintaining a strong presence on the sales floor.
Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
* Hire, train and motivate sales staff to achieve sales goals
* Train Assistant Manager in all aspects of store operations
* Identify and train two future store management candidates/year
* Develop and execute annual sales and expense budgets
* Conduct employee reviews
* Plan and conduct regular store staff meetings
* Communicate company matters with store staff
* Oversee inventory control
* Administer payroll and benefits
* Coordinate in-store demonstrations
* Provide exemplary sales and customer service
* Other duties as required
Job Requirements (including, but not limited to):
* Minimum 2 years retail sales experience in operation of $2 million plus retail outlet
* Previous retail experience in managing 10-20 FT employees
* Drive to motivate sales staff in high paced settings
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Patience
* Proven problem solving abilities
* Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, and retail applications)
* Interest in Food and Cooking
* Team Player
* Must be able to climb a ladder on a regular basis
* Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis
